NEW MARTINSVILLE
New Martinsville Glass Company, New Martinsville, West Virginia, from 1901-1944 when it became the Viking Glass Company. In 1986 Kenneth Dalzell, former president of the Fostoria Glass Company, purchased the plant and renamed it Dalzell Viking in 1987. Known for figurals, vanity sets and tableware made during the depression in rich colors. Dalzell developed a clear, brilliant crystal and produced several older animal shapes in crystal and black for a short time. Factory closed in 1998.
